Brazilian Teak, also known as Cumaru, shows off a beautiful array of colors that can range from a honey tan, to heartwood brown, and a orangish-red. With its unique grain design, and the fact that it is one of the hardest woods in the world, these attributes make this species an ideal choice for flooring applications. Because of this extra density, it is common to see imperfect cuts in the boards that can add potential gaps between boards when laid next to one another. Having an experienced floor installer for this exotic species is important in order to know how to work with these imperfections and to also have a proper waste percentage known before ordering.
